Otubet Youth United Development Organization (OYUDO) realized that the experience of war, diseases, poverty, cultural belief practices and natural disasters in Amuria district, Uganda have left the community in a situation of extreme deprivation and vulnerability. Many communities have been left hopeless and handicapped while facing a rising rate of joblessness in our district.
We realized that traditional community support systems are overwhelmed and many may not be able to cope with the increasing number of needy people. We the youth, along with the women and men of OYUDO and other humanitarian organizations are attempting to intervene.
We realized that our efforts are hindered by the lack of knowledge, skills, financial support, gender imbalance and other problems and have come together to try to assist our rural communities. We aim to care and protect their interest by gaining support from local leaders, government and the global community to provide a better future for our children and youth.

How to help
We are currently lacking full financial sustainability to adequately fund all the projects we have going on. We need you to partner with us financially to be able to assist so many more vulnerable youth and children.
Teaching
We would be so excited for you to visit us in beautiful Amuria District Uganda and assist us in youth education, counseling, and self-esteem building activities like drama presentations. Please come and share your expertise and talents with us!
Youth to Youth Interactions
If you are a young person and ever wanted to meet other youth in Uganda East Africa, make new friends and learn about a different culture then join with us! We would love to have school to school, youth group or Sunday school online chats through Skype or Facebook video and discuss issues affecting us all. Plus make life-long friends!
Volunteering
Consider visiting us here in Uganda or assisting us from where you are by holding fundraisers like car washes, bake sales and raffles. We would greatly appreciate your support and we will provide full transparency for everything we do with your generous support!
Latest projects
We have several on-going projects and future project plans. We have been educating the community on the effects of early child marriages and child abuse, initiated school-based entrepreneurial competition challenges for the students, promoting clean environments through community clean-ups, counseled the youth on sexual issues affecting them and providing vocational education for post-secondary students and SO much more.
